Sion studied for a degree in Sports Coaching at the University of Wales, Cardiff qualifying in 2008 and later completed a BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Plymouth, UK in 2012.
Subsequently he spent three years working in the National Health Service dealing with chronic and acute conditions in a state of the art orthopaedic unit. During this period he was fortunate enough to be additionally employed to provide physiotherapy support for a Premiership Rugby Union club in South Wales that enabled me to experience the challenges of working with professional athletes. He is a qualified acupuncturist.
In 2015 he moved to the UAE to work for the National Service dealing with a broad spectrum of patients ranging from those trainees just starting their fitness journey in the army, to others with several months of training under their belts.
When he has the time he participates in a number of sports eg. crossfit, surfing, skiing and in a previous life, rugby. He also holds a number of teaching qualifications in swimming, CrossFit and skiing.
He is continually trying to broaden his knowledge and to expand his skillset in order to achieve the best possible results for his patients. He believes as a medical professional his purpose should be, not only to treat, but to inform and educate patients in order that they can take the necessary steps themselves to prevent the recurrence of any problems.
