Dr . Arthur is a Family Medicine Specialist registered with the Health Professional Board of South Africa. He graduated in 1999 from University of Stellenbosch with his Medicine Degree and Master Degree in Family Medicine. In 2004 he graduated from University of Cape Town with a Master Degree in Sports Medicine.

Arthur then worked as Sports Medicine Physician in Queensland Australia and Cape Town South Africa. He mainly worked with professional rugby teams. As part of his role as sports doctor, Arthur travel with the professional teams to all events whether in New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Argentina or Europe. The last 12 years he gained significant experience in his trade whilst working with elite and professional athletes. He also practice his trade and experience with semi-professional and college athletes in their build up to their careers in sports. Working in a team environment is essential, thus he integrate his care with other specialists like orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, chiropractors, strength&conditioning trainers, dietitians, psychologists, sport scientists and coaches.

As Medical Doctor at international events and tournaments (Super Rugby, HSBC Sevens Rugby, World Cup Junior and Women Rugby, Cricket World Cup) he also provides you with extensive experience in emergency medical care at international sport events.

Common conditions that he has lots of experience in will be shoulder pain (joint and rotator cuff injuries), elbow pain, wrist problems, knee injuries ( MCL, ACL), muscle tears ( hamstring, calves, quads and other) and tendon injuries ( achilles , patella, golfer elbow etc.). Arthur also focus on fatigue management and concussion management.

In 2009 Arthur completed his 3 year course in Muscuskuloskeletal ultrasound. During most consultations he will be able to finalize your pathology and injury via diagnostic ultrasound.

Arthur fine-tuned the art of regenerative medicine with Platelet Rich Plasma injections for a wide range of musckuloskeletal injuries. This treatment is considered after thorough examination and diagnostic ultrasound. of the affected area.
